Bresky Corporation

The Corporation Bresky is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 with the goal of supporting the psycho-social rehabilitation of people with psychiatric diagnoses.

 

Mission

 

Encourage therapeutic relationships, aimed at raising awareness of the health care required by people in rehabilitation, improving adherence to treatment plans and jointly developing healthy lifestyles.

Improve individual and collective participation in various forums and community activities depending on one´s needs and interests. Prepare individuals to confront the challenges presented and the duties required by the world outside the daytime centre.

 

Day centers

 

The Day Centers for Mental Health are spaces in which people with psychiatric illness participate in rehabilitation programs and obtain psycho-social support. Their goal is to help people in psychiatric treatment to overcome the difficulties that arise from their diagnosis, the lack of relevant information about their illness and the discrimination suffered.

 

Learning and training workshops

 

Spaces created to train and employ people with disabilities or disadvantages stemming from psychiatric illness

Work can provide the opportunity for people to achieve socially productive behaviour and reduce their feelings of social incompetence they may have experienced as "patients"
Work may help to structure their time in a useful way conducive to developing their skills, preventing secondary illnesses and preparing a person to obtain an acceptable job and integrate into society.

 

Social Club

 

A meeting place where people with and without disabilities jointly conduct workshops of common interest. Popular workshops include culinary classes, film, comics and others.
Its central objective is social integration via collective action.
